How to Wear a Monochromatic Look: Brown Series
If you’re trying to make a statement while also remaining subtle, a monochromatic look is a great way to do it! It allows you to mix textures and fabrics which can create tons of dimension to your outfit. I usually do a different color for the shoes but no matter how you accessorize a monochromatic look it will still have impact.
This past weekend we visited Nola Station located in Kenner, LA for their grand opening. Nola Station is a hub where creative people can come to work, have meetings, host events, have photoshoots, etc. It even has a couple spaces to Airbnb. The place is very modern and intimate enough to host special gatherings. I was literally creating events in my head while getting the tour of the building. I plan on scheduling a photoshoot once they open up to the public in March. For more updates on their journey check out their instagram .
I paired these brown jogging sweats with a brown ribbed crop top to give it dimension with the different fabrics. I then added my fuzzy coat I got from Target last year and finished the look off with some Nikes. The outfit was super comfy, warm and I received so many compliments while we were at the event. I think quarantine has gotten everyone into finding new ways to dress more comfortable while still being fashionable. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve gotten dressed up for an occasion and my introvert instincts aren’t really complaining.
